About Predator Pool Cues
In 1992 Predator began an intensive
study to understand the performance dynamics of pool cues. The backbone of Predator's research was the robot called
Iron Willie.
Iron Willie
The robot enabled them to objectively test and accurately measure
a pool cues
performance while keeping all the variables constant. The knowledge they
accumulated from Iron Willie allowed them to develop a technology that offered
revolutionary improvements in a cue's performance.
Specifically, the technology delivered improved accuracy, more spin, an
extremely solid feel, and unequalled consistency.
Accuracy
Predator's ferrule and internal bore are patented. These 2 improvements
allow the cue ball to push the shaft aside instead of the shaft pushing the cue
ball off line. This makes it easier to hit what you're aiming at when you
use side spin.
Spin
Spin is directly related to cue call deflection. The less deflection, the
more spin. Predator produces more spin than other cues which makes it
easier to move the cue ball around the table.
Feel
The pure transfer of energy in Predator
pool cues produce less vibration and give you
a very solid feel and positive feedback.
Consistency
Predator's unique 10 piece splicing system eliminates grain directionality.
this means the cue has more consistent flex and straightness than other cues
with 1 piece shafts.
In a game of extreme accuracy, you naturally want the cue that shoots the
straightest.
